i’m Erin
As a naturally curious & chatty person I pride myself on asking the right questions to find the right solutions to everyday hair problems. Also, as a busy mom, I value low maintenance options to keep your hair looking fresh long after a salon visit!
My journey began on a farm in rural Minnesota and by the age of 10 I was in love with the idea of being a hairstylist. I adored going to the salon frequently with my mom and still cherish the sounds and smells that have become part of my daily life in the salon.
I was enrolled at the Aveda Institute by the time I was a sophomore in high school and started my cosmetology education in 2004. In 2008 I began working in, and fell in love with, the St. Louis Park community. In 2016 I joined an amazing group of independent stylists working within Tangles & Co. Salon.
After testing out many areas of the twin cities I finally settled in Hopkins where my husband of 8 years and I bought our first home. We welcomed a baby boy in September 2021 making us a family of 4, if you include our fur baby Luna. We love the small town feel of our little neighborhood and we stay busy doing lots of home projects, cooking and walking on the local trails.
The love of my profession has evolved over the years and has shifted into a passion for custom coloring, especially dimensional, low maintenance, and natural “lived in” looks.
As thrilling as it is to achieve the perfect natural red tone or radiant sun kissed highlights, there is no question, the best part about my job is the look on someone’s face when they feel beautiful.
When I’m not at the salon nothing makes me happier than grabbing coffee or a glass of wine with friends, grilling and laughing with family, reading a good book in the sun or singing along to my favorite tunes!
